Letter of Intent from MN Acting Studio

MN Acting Studio stands in solidarity with the Black community—our colleagues, friends, artists, students, teachers and fellow citizens.   We are here to listen, to embrace change, and to be advocates for a better society, both within the walls of our studio and outside of them.  Our teachers have been meeting to decide how to move forward and how we can best be allies to our community and beyond—with not just words, but concrete action.

·      This Friday, June 5th, we invite all of our current students to join us for a Town Hall to discuss how we can all do better, how we can be proactive, and how we can lift our hearts and be better leaders moving forward.

·      We will be donating a portion of proceeds from our June classes to the Black Art Futures.

·      For the month of June, of our Instagram Industry Lives every Friday with our founder Matt Newton will feature a “Donate” button to specific organizations related to Black Lives Matter.

·      Within the inclusive and supportive walls of our studio, we will leave space for open and safe discussion.

In the meantime, MN and our teachers will continue to work to lift up our Black students, support them, provide a beautiful space to grow as artists, and to collectively remove any barriers that may come in the pursuit of their artistic endeavors.

Sincerely,

Matt Newton
