One day "TV PILOT PREP Intensive" with Matt Newton
For professional young actors with tv/film representation and training, this popular one day workshop comes highly recommended by agents and managers. Limited to 10 serious students in each session, students will be assigned both a comedy and drama script, and Matt will coach them to bring their scripts to life and enhance their audition skills in an ultra competitive pilot season setting. This is an exclusive "real world" workshop for serious young actors who want to book jobs, learn to make strong choices with little prep time, learn to bring their personality to the script, and learn how to audition for different genres, whether it be one hour drama, half hour single camera comedy, or multi-camera comedy. Actors will learn to make strong choices, to break down a script quickly, memorization skills, and how to connect to a script in a short amount of time (usually pilot scripts are sent the night before). All students receive a video of their work after class, as well as a written critique. At the end of class Matt will invite all the parents in for a demonstration on self-taping, including best affordable lighting, sound, editing software, and slating.
